No. There is no account, no sign-in, and no email registration. On first launch you choose your country and its schedule loads automatically.
TV Studio One comes with a free 7-day trial — the full app, nothing held back. After the trial, a single one-time purchase unlocks it forever. No subscription, no recurring charges.
TV Studio One only shows what its broadcaster reports in the EPG. If a programme isn't listed, it's almost always because the broadcaster hasn't published it. Pull down on the schedule to force a refresh.
TV Studio One covers countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia‑Pacific, Africa and the Middle East — and the list grows every month. Because new countries arrive with app updates, the live list is always the one inside the app: open Settings → Country to see every country currently available. If yours isn’t there yet, email us — requests go straight to the top of the queue.
Open Settings (the gear icon) and choose a different country under Country. The schedule for the new country downloads straight away — you can switch back at any time, and newly added countries appear here automatically after an app update.
The app is available in 21 languages, with more added as the country list grows. By default it follows your device language. To override it, open Settings → Appearance → App Language and pick the one you want — the app relaunches to apply it.
Detail varies by broadcaster, not by country. Some channels publish rich category and synopsis data; others provide only titles and times. TV Studio One classifies with whatever the broadcaster supplies, in the local language as well as English.
Sports: live sporting events and sports-radio output. Movies: feature films and made-for-TV movies. Faith: religious channels, worship, and faith-themed programming. Talk: chat shows, panel shows, sports-talk and rolling news. More: everything else — dramas, documentaries, comedy, reality, and radio — sortable by content genre in Settings. Favourites: heart a title and every future airing appears here — across days, channels and repeats.
Classification is automatic — the app sorts each programme from its channel, the TV guide's category tags, and title keywords. Occasionally the guide's own data is unusual and a programme lands in the wrong place. Two things help: pull down on the schedule to fetch the latest guide data, and turn on the optional AI enhancement (see below), which corrects many cases the raw guide data gets wrong — such as a film hiding on a general entertainment channel. Classifications are curated and improve with each app update; if something is consistently misplaced, email us and we'll fix it at the source.
Some broadcasters run regional variants of one channel — UK Freeview, for example, carries ITV Anglia, ITV Granada, ITV London and more. By default TV Studio One shows them all. Open Settings → My Region and choose your region, and the app hides the variants that aren't local to you — leaving just your own ITV and BBC One. Choose "All regions" to show every variant again.
Open Settings (the gear icon in the top right). Enable the services you subscribe to under Subscription Services — the list shown depends on the country you have selected. Their channels will then appear in every tab alongside your free‑to‑air ones.
Tap the bell icon on any programme that hasn't started yet. TV Studio One schedules a local iOS notification ten minutes before the programme begins. Tap the bell again to cancel.
Yes. When you heart a title, TV Studio One automatically sets a reminder for every upcoming airing of it — you don't need to tap the bell on each one, and it keeps working across app restarts and as new listings arrive. Notifications need permission (see below), and because iOS limits how many can be scheduled at once, the soonest airings are prioritised.
The bell only shows when there's still time to set a useful reminder — i.e. when the programme is more than ten minutes from starting. Already-aired programmes and imminent ones don't show one.
Check Settings → Notifications → TV Studio One on your device. The first time you set a reminder, iOS asks for permission; if you decline, no notifications can be delivered until you turn permission back on in iOS Settings.
No. TV Studio One works fully without one — it falls back to fast built-in heuristics that handle the large majority of the schedule. The AI is an optional classification enhancement that sharpens the tricky cases, not a requirement.
Open Settings → AI Classification, add a provider key, then switch on "Enrich full schedule with AI". The AI then reads each programme's title and categories and assigns a genre, noticeably improving which tab programmes land in — for example catching a feature film the guide shows on a general channel, or an animated movie the guide labels only as "animation". Each title is sent once and cached, so it's cheap to run.
You can add your own key for Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (GPT), or Google (Gemini). All three offer pay-as-you-go pricing. Get keys at console.anthropic.com, platform.openai.com, or aistudio.google.com.
Approximately 1–5 pence per day. Each programme title is sent only once and cached permanently on your device, so cost is bounded by the size of the daily schedule and shrinks over time as the cache fills.
Go to Settings and clear your key there. It is removed from the iOS Keychain immediately. You can also revoke it at the source in your provider's console.
Open a live sporting event and tap Live scorecard. Team sports show the current score; ranked sports like Formula 1 and golf show a leaderboard. Pull Refresh for the latest. The free version reads scores via AI web search — accurate to when you open or refresh.
Optional. Add your own key for a sports-data provider (Settings → Premium Live Data) for a faster, real live feed. API-Sports has a free tier that covers live soccer and Formula 1. Use "Test connection" to confirm your key works. Any sport not yet served by a premium provider falls back to the free AI scorecard automatically.
No. TV Studio One only ever shows scores, results and leaderboards — never betting odds or gambling information, by design.
Everything, forever. The Full Version unlock is a single App Store purchase — not a subscription — and covers all current features and future updates. The price is shown in the app and on the App Store in your local currency.
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account, then open Settings → Full Version and tap Restore Purchases. The unlock is tied to your Apple Account, so it carries across all your devices at no extra cost.
No. If you bought TV Studio One when it was a paid-up-front app, the full version unlocks automatically — the app recognises your original purchase. If it ever doesn't, tap Restore Purchases in Settings, and if that still doesn't sort it, email us and we'll put it right.
Android phones and tablets running Android 9 or later. Purchases need Google Play and a Google account on the device.
The full app is free for 7 days. After that a single one-time purchase through Google Play unlocks it for good — no subscription and no recurring charges. The trial is counted on your phone, so there is no account to create.
Install the app from Google Play while signed into the Google account you bought it with, then tap Restore Purchase on the unlock screen or in Settings. If that doesn’t sort it, email us.
Android decides when background work runs. A reminder can be a minute or two late, and later if your phone has been idle for a while or Battery Saver is on. If you Force stop the app, reminders wait until you next open it. On Android 13 and later you must also allow notifications for TV Studio One when asked.
The app’s language follows the country you choose, and you can change it in Settings → Country & Language. Live-sport programmes get an AI overview and a live scorecard, read from the web by your AI provider when you have added an AI key, or from your own sports-data provider key (Settings → Premium Live Data) for a faster live feed. An AI scorecard is the latest at the moment you tap it and can be refreshed. Favourites, reminders and settings stay on your phone and do not sync between devices.
If Android backup is on for your Google account, Android may restore your favourites, reminders list, settings and trial start date when you set up a new phone. That backup is run by Google under its own terms. Your AI API keys are never backed up, so enter them again on a new phone.
Open Settings → AI Classification, choose a provider and paste your key. It is stored in your phone’s encrypted secure storage and sent only to the provider you chose. You pay that provider directly, only when you ask for an overview.
