ToDo

Calendar, reading plans, portraits and personal notes

Layout

The ToDo tab is divided into two panels. The left panel contains the calendar at the top and a portrait photo grid below. The right panel shows the reading plan card, the devotional card, a daily summary of prayer and to-do items, and the note editor at the bottom.

Calendar

The calendar occupies the top portion of the left panel. It shows the current month with Monday as the first day of the week. The header bar shows the month and year alongside the phrase I'm organised! Navigation arrows move between months and a Today button returns to the current date.

Each day cell can show coloured indicator dots and event labels:

Dot colourMeaning
BlueA reading plan passage is scheduled for this day
GreenThis day has been marked as complete

System calendar events (personal appointments and birthdays) appear as small labels inside each day cell if calendar access has been granted. Up to four events are shown; a indicator appears if there are more.

Tap a day to select it and update the right panel. Long-press a day to open the event popover.

System calendar access

To display your personal calendar events and contacts' birthdays in the calendar grid, grant calendar access when prompted, or go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars and enable access for Scripture Study. You can revoke access at any time from the same location.

Prayer and to-do popover

Long-pressing a calendar day opens a popover showing all prayer requests and to-do items for that day. From here you can view, tick off, delete, or add items, and set a repeat rule — Once, Weekly, or Daily.

Portrait panel

The lower portion of the left panel contains six portrait slots arranged in a 2×3 grid with rounded corners. These slots are for photos of family members, friends, prayer partners or your pastor — people you want to keep in mind as you study and pray.

Photos are saved privately to your Mac and persist between launches.

Reading plan card

The reading plan card shows the Bible passage for the selected day. A picker in the top-right corner lets you switch between installed reading plan modules. Tap Read → to open the passage in the Time Alone tab, where the reading plan panel displays the full text alongside the devotional.

Devotional card

Below the reading plan card, the devotional card shows the title of the day's devotional entry. A picker in the top-right corner lets you choose from installed devotional modules. Tap Read → to open the devotional in the Time Alone tab. If no devotional module is selected or no entry exists for the day, a placeholder message is shown.

Day summary

Below the devotional card, a summary shows all prayer requests and to-do items for the selected day. Tick buttons mark items as done. The + button opens the event popover.

Marking a day complete

The Mark Complete button in the top-right of the right panel marks the selected day as done. The day's calendar cell turns green. Tap the button again to un-mark it.

Note editor

The bottom of the right panel is a full word processor showing your most recently created verse note. When you long-press a verse number in the Desk tab, the new note appears here automatically. Notes are saved automatically — there is no save button.
