Your EPUB and PDF library
Overview
The eBooks tab is your personal reading library for EPUB and PDF books — theological works, commentaries, devotionals, classic Christian literature and anything else you want to read alongside your Bible study.
Layout
The eBooks tab has three sections:
- Left panel — your Bible bookmarks, always visible for quick navigation
- Main area — your book grid or list with search
- Tabs at top — My Books, Magazines, Discover
Choosing a books folder
Click Choose Folder in the toolbar to point the app to your EPUB and PDF files. This can be any folder on your Mac or in iCloud Drive. The app scans it automatically and displays all readable files.
Search
The compact search bar sits above the book grid. Two toggle pills to its left switch between search modes:
- Title/Author — filters the grid by title or author name as you type
- Inside Books — searches the full text content of all your EPUB files. Type your term and tap Go. Results show the book title, chapter, and a text snippet around each match. Tap a result to open that book at the matching location.
View modes
Use the ⋯ menu in the toolbar to switch between Large Grid, Small Grid, and List view, and to sort by Title, Author, or Recently Opened.
Bookmarks panel
The left panel shows all your Bible bookmarks. Click the arrow next to any bookmark to navigate the Bible panel to that passage without leaving the eBooks tab.
Adding books
There are three ways to add books:
- Copy EPUB or PDF files into your books folder in Finder, then click ↺ Refresh
- Click Import Files in the toolbar to copy files directly from anywhere on your Mac
- Use the Discover tab to browse and download free books from curated sources
Redeeming a licence code
If you have purchased a Bible or book module with a licence code, click Redeem Code in the toolbar. Enter the code from your purchase confirmation email to download and unlock the module directly into your library.
Deleting books
In List view, click the trash icon next to the format badge under the book title. In Grid view, right-click a book cover and choose Delete. Deleted books are moved to the Trash.
Magazines
The Magazines tab shows PDF magazines downloaded from the Discover tab, organised by publication. Tap a publication to expand it and read individual issues.
Discover
The Discover tab provides direct browser access to curated sources of free Christian books and resources — including Monergism, CCEL, Standard Ebooks, Inspired Walk, and more. Clicking a download link saves the file directly to your books folder.
